Activities and Recreation Center (ARC)

The ARC has everything you'd expect from a gym plus so much more! At the ARC you can work on your jump shot, practice your dance steps, try the climbing wall, stretch out in a yoga class, become the next martial arts master, work out with a personal trainer or join a group exercise class. Besides keeping you moving, the ARC also offers dietary analysis to make sure you're eating well. Keep up to date on the ARC expansion.

UC Davis Marching Band

UC Davis Marching Band is one of the proudest, most spirited and best-loved organizations on the UC Davis campus. The band thrills crowds at home games and on the road. You don't even have to know how to play an instrument to join!

Craft Center

The Craft Center offers more than 90 classes each quarter, ranging from one-day workshops to seven-week courses. Ceramics, jewelry, flameworking, textiles, screen printing, welding woodworking—so many ways to get crafty!

Equestrian Center (EC)

People may joke that Davis is a "cow town" but we have horses too! At the Equestrian Center, you can learn to ride both English and western in the 45,000-square-foot indoor riding arena. You can also bring your horse to campus with you and board at the Equestrian Center.

Fitness and Wellness

Make some time for movement. Incorporating exercise into your daily routine can increase your energy and improve your confidence. Campus Recreation's Fitness and Wellness program at the ARC provides a multitude of opportunities, from personal training to group exercise classes. In addition, the dietary analysis and nutrition consultation options provide excellent wellness opportunities. Whatever your level, the highly trained, professional Fitness and Wellness staff will help you find an effective and enjoyable exercise program to meet your goals.

Intramural Sports (IM Sports)

Get your game on! IM Sports is not only a great way to have a good time its also a great way to meet people and stay healthy. Participate in any of the 27 different activities (men’s, women’s, and CoRec) in traditional sports such as basketball, softball, soccer, volleyball and flag football, as well as nontraditional activities such as ultimate frisbee, innertube water polo, floor hockey and dodgeball.

Memorial Union Games

If you are looking to relax and play a little billiards, or get pumped up and throw a ball at some pins, the Games Area has what you are looking for. It has seven 9'-foot Brunswick Gold Crown V billiards tables, 12 bowling lanes and console gaming.

Outdoor Adventures (OA)

Get back to nature on a hiking, whitewater rafting or kayaking trip with Outdoor Adventures. OA also offers a resource center of books and maps, comprehensive first-aid training and a rental center stocked with top-quality equipment at reasonable prices.

Hickey Pool

Dive in! Designed for lap swimming, Hickey Pool is heated year-round, featuring seven 25-yard lanes, men's and women's locker rooms.

Recreation Pool Renovation

To meet the aquatic activity needs of UC Davis students, the Department of Campus Recreation is renovating the Rec Pool with the aim to bring all department aquatic activities under one facility. The pool is closed and will re-open summer 2019.

Sport Clubs

UC Davis offers students the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports and manage their own team. As a sport club participant, you'll not only enjoy the rewards of athletic competition but also gain skills in collaboration, leadership, problem-solving and financial management.

Youth Programs
