Capital Projects

Capital Projects

The Division of Student Affairs is entrusted with managing student facilities and physical environments that enhance the student experience at UC Davis. In all, the Division of Student Affairs manages 1.9 million square feet of space plus many acres of outdoor space, which equates to roughly 20 percent of the university’s physical footprint, excluding the UC Davis Medical Center and other satellite campuses.

The Division of Student Affairs is continually in the process of renewing its facilities to meet the needs of a growing university population, better serve the changing needs of today’s students, enrich university programming and enhance student safety.

As you walk around campus, you will likely see quite a few buildings that are under construction. Many of these are capital projects.
