Taking advantage of the many resources available to you at UC Davis is key to your academic and personal success!
The first resource you’re likely to experience is Orientation. UC Davis offers programs for first-year, transfer, out-of-state and international students that help you plan your class schedule, register for classes and acquaint you with all UC Davis has to offer. Professional staff from Student Housing and Dining Services, which is within the Division of Student Affairs, work closely with the college deans' offices to tailor academic advice to each participant.
Once on campus, you’ll want to explore all the academic assistance options available to you. Whether it’s tutoring for a specific class, workshops on study skills, understanding degree requirements or balancing academics and everyday life, you’ll find help. Your success is our success!
One of the perks of living in a residence hall is having access to the Residence Hall Advising Team (RHAT). In each living area (Segundo, Tercero, Cuarto), RHAT provides academic advising through academic programs and Academic Advising Centers. The team offers advising sessions many times a day throughout the academic year.
For students living in the residence halls and Student Housing Apartments, Academic Advising Centers provide convenient, personalized academic support from peer advisors and tutors. The centers also offer workshops throughout the year.
Office of Educational Opportunity and Enrichment Services
The Office of Educational Opportunity and Enrichment Services (OEOES) comprises a cluster of programs, services and centers that share a mission of fostering student development, academic success and an inclusive campus community. OEOES centers and programs support student communities that are underrepresented in higher education, including former foster youth; transfer, reentry and veterans; first-generation; low income and undocumented.

Dean’s Office and Major Advising
All students are encouraged to seek advice and assistance from college staff and peer advisors on a regular basis, especially during their first quarters at UC Davis. Meeting with an advisor can help assure you complete the requirements for your degree in a timely manner. Each undergraduate college has advisors to help students:
- College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
- College of Biological Sciences
- College of Engineering
- College of Letters and Science
If you are a student-athlete at UC Davis, you will typically have at least three academic advisors: an athletic academic advisor assigned by sport, a college advisor and a major advisor. To meet with a student-athlete outcome advisor, current and incoming UC Davis student-athletes can go to AggieEvo.com for walk-in and appointment information, academic courses and other resources.
The Student Disability Center is staffed by professionals who specialize in different areas of disability: learning, vision, hearing, medical, psychological and mobility. They can help determine your eligibility for academic accommodations and ensure the provision of accommodations necessary to promote independence, academic success and participation in campus life. The Student Disability Center has two locations, including a satellite office in the Memorial Union for drop-in appointments. The satellite location, which opened spring 2018, offers students a convenient place to drop in, learn about options for specialized academic and mobility support, ask questions, set up appointments and get involved in their community.
Student Support and Judicial Affairs works with students to promote academic integrity, ethics and student learning in a safe and civil campus environment. They also provide advice and assistance to students concerned about their rights.
The student advising site Online Advising Student Information System (OASIS) provides tools and services to help you throughout your academic career at UC Davis.
